Warm up #4 Command Form Humor

Use your knowledge of the command form of the verb SALIR to explain why this is meant to be humorous.

Warm up #3: Common Roots

English has many words with Latin roots. This means that you, as an English-Speaker, can figure out what many Spanish words mean by looking at their word roots and comparing it to English. For example: E scrib ir.  You may notice the "scrib" part in the middle of this word and think of "scribble" or "Script." You would be correct! Both have to do with writing and the word "escribir" means "to write." Look at the following list and use the roots to see if you can tell what each word means. Viv ir Dorm ir Mor ir Gan ar Per der Desear

Warm up #2: Where it all began.

Warm up # 1: Getting Started

It's a lot easier to learn a language when you already know some of the words. How many Spanish words do you already know? Take 15 minutes and give me a list of words you already know. The longest list wins!
