Perfect and Past Perfect Tenses
The past perfect tense (I had....)
These tenses cover past actions that happened before another past action as in the statement:
I had already gotten home when you arrived.
Ser vs Estar
Ser and Estar both mean "to be" but Ser is used for long term and permanent traits and Estar is used for short term traits.
