Warm up #3: Common Roots
English has many words with Latin roots. This means that you, as an English-Speaker, can figure out what many Spanish words mean by looking at their word roots and comparing it to English. For example:
Escribir.
You may notice the "scrib" part in the middle of this word and think of "scribble" or "Script." You would be correct! Both have to do with writing and the word "escribir" means "to write."
